11.30.2009

I have decided to knit xmas gifts this year.

I am insane.

11.18.2009

FO: Milkweed

Pattern: Milkweed
For: Baylie
Yarn: 304 yds Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock - Mediumweight in Rauen
Needles: US 4 Knit Picks Options
Timeline: started 07.17.2009; finished 07.24.2009

Yeah, I've been gone for a while. I'm hoping to get through the (not-very-large, unfortunately) backlog of FOs I haven't posted soon. Anyway, this was a nice pattern: well-written, fast to knit. However, if I had to do it again, I would definitely use a thinner yarn. STR Mediumweight is so thick! I like that the garter fabric makes this a bit warmer, but...yeah. I wish I would have had a skein of Lightweight to use. If I ever use the Mediumweight again (which I don't think I'd do for socks unless I was trying to make heavy-duty winter ones), I'd probably go up to a US6 needle. The 4s were too small.
