second sock syndrome swap
i'm a bad swappee because it took me a while to post this after receiving it, but what i got is fantastic! my swap partner was vera from vera's crafty blog.
i got a really fabulous sock (obviously) knitted in some superwash merino/nylon from the woolen rabbit. it's really soft and i love the color. she also tossed in some needles. woo hoo!
in addition, i got some chocolate (you'll notice it's already missing.) as well as a chocolate notepad (exactly the type i use on my fridge for grocery lists), a chocolate-themed journal, and chocolate-scented stickers.
the sock fits great and i cannot wait to make some time to start working on the second one. i took some more detailed pictures. you can see them below.

adelle, i LOVED the swap. it was so fun and get me to pick up sock knitting again.
vera: the pictures are courtesy of some decent natural lighting (finally!) and my new camera (nikon d40). i'm in love with it.
i think that, for the second sock, i'm going to do the cables the other way. would that be too dorky? i think it might look cool if the socks are mirror images of each other.
