hobo bag progress

well, i finished one strap and about 2/3 of the second strap on the hobo bag yesterday. i need to finish the rest of the second strap today, so that i can work on it in san francisco. i also need to get some size 10 double-pointed and circular needles, as well as another skein of the yarn i'm using.

new knitting project - knit hobo bag

i finally found a cool bag to make with the cool yarn (lion brand homespun in caribbean, a really textured yarn with 2 shades of pink) i got on sale. i just started last night, and the strap is going pretty well. if i'm able to get both straps done, i'll bring this along to san francisco as well, since i'll be done using my metal needles.

new knitting project - shopping bag

well, i bought some cool yarn that was on sale yesterday and decided that i wanted to either make a bag or a capelet-type thing. in my search, i came across a pattern for cute knit shopping bags. the yarn i bought won't work, but i found some pretty pink yarn that is way too scratchy for a scarf or any other kind of garment. i have 8 rows done so far, and it's looking pretty good. i'm planning on bringing this along with me on the trip to san francisco, so i'm hoping to have it done by the beginning of next week.

today's update

well, i finished a bunch more rows on the big bad baby blanket.

however, the real update is that i finished all of the knitting on the cleo halter top. i just started the finishing process. i only need to (find and) attach the elastic and sew the cups onto the bottom and it will be finished. it looks pretty good and fits well. though, if i ever use the pattern again, i would make the smaller cup size, since these cups seem pretty big.

cleo halter top progress

i just started knitting the cleo halter top from knitty.com yesterday, and it's knitting up pretty quickly. yesterday, i finished one cup, complete with (my very first) i-chord, and today i've completed about half of the other cup. i'm hoping to get the rest of the second cup done today so that i can start on the bottom. i'm really excited because it has some interesting patterns, which i've never done before.
