well, the bbb blanket is 10 inches long. only 4 more inches to go until the half-way point. it's not taking too terribly long to knit up, so it will definitely be done in time for a shower gift. i'm hoping to have it half completed by the middle of july.

the daisy baby sweater is done. nadine and i went to hancock fabrics yesterday and got the cutest little pink flower buttons.





all in all, i'm pretty pleased with my first knit clothing piece. i wish i would've used softer yarn, and there are a few small imperfections that i'm not exactly thrilled with.

i've been working on this once for about a week. at first, i was just using it as an opportunity to use up some green yarn i have and to try knitting an actual article of clothing. however, as i've been working on it, it's started to look really cute. i won't be putting daisies or snakes on it, but may add some leaves if i'm just so inclined.

i just need to knit about 8 more rows on the second sleeve, stitch the pieces together, and get some buttons for the front. if all goes well, i'll have everything but the buttons done tonight.

the sweater is done: blocked and everything. now, i just need to buy and affix three buttons.

since i've found myself a bit obsessed with knitting as of late, i thought i'd start a little blog to talk about my creations and moan about all the problems i encounter.
