now that the (few) shows i used to watch regularly are either gone (farewell, x-files. and, no, i didn't get to see the last episode. ugh!) or in reruns, i can catch up on my public television viewing. for example: tonight at 8, scientific american frontiers is on, and it'll be about learning from the dead, i.e., bones and such. woo hoo! i'm such a nerd. this interactive skeleton is pretty interesting.

however, we're probably going to get cable at the new place, so i won't be devoting as much time to public television as i would otherwise. besides, i start my new job soon, so i won't have tons of days to relax and watch random documentaries. i can't wait to have the history channel, tlc (for trading spaces, not all of its lame/sexist/patronizing "a [whatever] story" shows), animal planet (how can you not love animal precinct?), and hgtv (martha, martha, martha!).

sigh...
